Workshop:Nurturing Child-Parent Relationship with Buddhist Wisdom
The parent-child relationship is said to be the foundation of all relationships in the society. Thus, a healthy parent-child relationship can help build a more harmonious family life and promote more reliable relationships between child and parent and for them with other people. Conversely, people who cannot develop and/or maintain sound parent-child relationships would generally encounter more relational problems in life.
However, nurturing a good parent-child relationship is no easy job, especially in this modern society beset with various temptations and factors that can generate conflicts between people. How can parents interact more effectively with their children who gradually grow to have their own ideas and opinions? How can children communicate with their parents in ways that foster better understanding rather than generation gap?
In this workshop, Abbot JianYing Shifu will expound how to apply the Buddha Dharma to develop and nurture a win-win relationship between parents and children. He will convene discussions of case scenarios to clarify the Buddhist teachings on family. >>Flyer
