Over 3,000 years ago, the great compassionate Buddha came to this world to awaken our Buddha nature. //To commemorate the Buddha’s Birthday, the Zen Center will be conducting a "Bathing the Buddha" Ceremony on Sunday, May 8 (see program schedule below.) By bathing the Buddha, we are purifying our own minds; learning from the Buddha, we are creating a Pure Land. Also, in gratitude to all parents in this Mother's Day, we will recite "The Sutra as Spoken by the Buddha on the Profound Kindness of Parents and the Difficulties in Repaying Them" that morning. We invite you, your family, and friends to join us in this memorable event and dedicate the merits to world peace. May us all realize our inherent purity and infinite potential.
