Hard-to-Find Opportunities

 

 

 

 

One day, a taciturn and introverted monk appealed to the Master, “I am afraid to face the public. What should I do?” The Master responded, “Without sentient beings, it is impossible to practice compassion and become a Buddha. When facing anxieties brought about by others, we should view these challenges as hard-to-find opportunities that facilitate our practice.
