Pomona (Los Angeles), CA
To bring the Buddha's
compassion and wisdom to Pomona, Venerable Master Wei Chueh, founding
Abbot of Chung Tai Chan Monastery and approximately 108 Zen Centers in
Taiwan and overseas, established Middle Land Chan Monastery in April
2008. Since inception, the branch monastery has been a refreshing
spring for the spirit, welcoming people of all cultures and faiths or
no faith. In a tranquil environment, people learn the ageless wisdom of
Buddhism, discover the joy of meditation, and uncover the "Buddha
Nature" within all of us.

Chung Tai Chan Monastery
and the Grand Master Wei Chueh
In the Grand Master Wei Chueh' s compassionate vow
to provide a complete environment for all who wish to learn the Buddha
Dharma, Chung Tai Chan Monastery opened its doors on September 1, 2001,
initiating a new era for the propagation of Buddhism.
"The Buddha Dharma is here in this world; there is no enlightenment
apart from the world." To establish a Pure Land on earth, Chung Tai is
actively involved in bringing the wisdom of the Buddha to the local
communities.

Come
and join us in the new Zen Buddhism classes!!
- Classes are
taught by Venerable Jian-Tai, the abbess of Middle Land Chan Monastery.
- All classes are
free of charge and open to public. We are supported by your generous
donations.
- Dress code:
wear comfortable yet modest attire and socks. Optional meditation
clothing may be obtained at the monastery.
- In the
ceremony, the Abbess, Jian-Tai will give a Dharma talk in both English
and Chinese.
- We have lamp
offering, blessing service, and memorial service, to dedicate merits to
the Buddhas and all sentient beings.
